Beyond The Wheel

Ep. 1: RV SnapPad COO Devon Wilson

Welcome to the very first episode of Beyond the Wheel podcast! On today’s show, we talk with Devon Wilson from RV SnapPad. Devon gives a behind the scenes look of what went into the process of coming up with the design of the SnapPad as well as how they are manufactured and why it was important to make them in the United States. We talk about the benefits of using recycled rubber not only for RV SnapPad but also for the environment. We found it very interesting to hear how some of the best attributes of the RV SnapPad happened by accident and were surprised by their long family history of improving how we level our RV’s.

The Wilson family is very entrepreneurial, so it was in their blood to create a company. Their father had been involved in a similar product many years ago. They revisited the idea and developed something much better for RVers and the environment. Instead of creating wast, they were using the waste of others.

It has not been an overnight success, but now much of the family is working in the company and the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in the family. We both use SnapPads on our RVs and they have been great. There is not really a need to carry wood or plastic blocks to put under the jacks when leveling.
