Beyond The Wheel

Ep. 11 Micro-Air, Inc.

Do you enjoy dry camping or boondocking? Did you know there is a company that makes a component that will allow you to operate your A/C unit from your inverter or small 2,000-watt generator? Micro-Air has such a device called an EasyStart. It was originally developed for the Coast Guard to operate their A/C units while out at sea, but now it is available to the public. This easy-to-install device decreases the high strain normally created during the startup process of A/C units. By doing so, it allows inverters and small generators to be able to run an A/C unit. Find out how this company came about and all the benefits of Micro-Air’s EasyStart in today’s episode.

Thank yo, Lou. We installed this on one of our AC units and it works great. It starts right up using only our 3000 watt inverter. It cannot run very long off of the batteries, but it will give me 30-60 minutes to cool off the RV.

Great information and a real quality broadcast. All participants were articulate and Roger provided a ton of information in these short 20 some minutes.
